Recently, Indian supercomputing industry has been in much talks with the government committing Rs 4500 crore for developing supercomputers. Fundamentally, scientists have been working diligently in this field to address answers to several complex questions. Areas like weather prediction, climate, earth material, biology and life sciences, theoretical physics, nuclear physics, astrophysics, predicting diseases etc. are some of the areas which have deep questions underlying which numerous scientists and research institutes are trying to solve from years.

This clearly means that this is about billion times stronger than a normal computer. The maximum number of supercomputers have been built by the USA and the country is the world leader in this segment.
